My now 4 yr old daughter with downsyndrome making her first friends at the little kids area @ Xtreme zone on her 3rd bday was my most memorable moment.

I was on a thight budget that day and could not even buy her a bday cake.

She's not a social butterfly so seeing her smiling and playing with other kids this happy and the fact that she could enter for free on her bday made my heart melt. Thank you sambil and thank you Xtreme zone , she is now your no.1 fan !!

In the foodcourt area I saw a handful of entrepreneurs meeting with their clients and it sparked the idea that she should consider starting her own consultancy business, as she is great at helping others with their ideas, businesses and complex problems . Short after we brainstormed ideas and met many times in Sambil. Together we mapped out an initial plan, define her target market, and identify key challenges. With newfound clarity, she took the leap and started her own company. Fast-forward a year later, her business is thriving, and on her first anniversary, where we had lunch in Sambil’s foodcourt, she thanked me for the initial help I provided during her times of uncertainty and doubt. For me it wasn’t just advice; it was the spark that Sambil inspired me that has set her on a path to success.

We bought our wedding rings at Sambil, two young souls in love, completely sure that we wanted to spend our lives loving and taking care of each other. After studying and living abroad for 8 years, i came back to Curacao to work. When i got my first paycheck, i took my mom to Sambil. I bought her everything she wanted. She did all she could to help me be someone today, so i was so happy to see her that happy with all the outfits and shoes she got.

There are so many good memories. The best memories I have are with my foster dogs. Every Thursday I walk them through Sambil. Ronan was a very special dog. He was taken away from a garden where he was neglected and starved. Although all of the bad that had happened to him he still was a very sweet dog. The first time I went to Sambil the moving glass doors were a bit too much for him, so we just sat there and he got a lot of treats. The next week he dared to go through and we could walk in for about 10 meters. After a few visits he walked in freely and we could complete the round without fear. People loved him and he enjoyed all the attention and the treats. A few weeks later he was adopted and flew to the Netherlands. His experience at Sambil had made him stronger and more secure, and I want to thank Sambil for this opportunity. Ronan lives the best life and can enter any shopping mall without fear. Thank you!
